    I had appendicitis on Friday, May 10, and went to the Hong Kong University at 8:00 am for treatment. I met Dr. Zuo,（左石） who was very friendly and professional. He examined me and advised that I have surgery immediately, and I agreed.  

        I was then admitted to the hospital and prepared for surgery. At 13:00, I entered the operating room where Dr. Zuo and his team were getting ready for the operation. We talked while they completed their preparations, and then I was given the general anesthetic. I was completely asleep after that and did not wake up until I was in my room an hour or more after the surgery was complete.

        Naturally, there was some discomfort in my abdomen due to the surgery, but it was minor. In fact, I felt better almost immediately and could have gone home on Sunday, but I delayed until Monday. Within a week, I felt so well that I could hardly tell that I’d had surgery at all. When I saw Dr. Zuo for a follow-up examination, he agreed that my incisions had healed correctly and that I did not need to continue using bandages to cover them.

        In summary, I had a completely satisfactory experience at the Hong Kong University Hospital and with the Dr. Zuo and all of the hospital staff. I recommend to everyone that they go to this hospital the next time they need medical services, for they will be so pleasantly surprised by the positive experience that they have, too.
